For someone who loves to shop as much as I do, I actually refrained from buying a new jacket for 5 years. That's right- 5 freak'n years!! All my winter/spring/fall jackets have buttons missing and/or are all frayed on the inside but my cheap ass did not want to spend money on a new jacket. However, about a week ago we were treated to some warm weather (and for us canadians, that means a high of 4 degrees) and I happened to pass by the most beautiful leather jacket at Aritzia that I just HAD TO HAVE. And, here is is:

It's is the most perfect jacket for spring. Look how versatile it is, you can wear it undone, partly zipped or for those chilly days you can just button it all up. The color is awesome too- it's called 'gunmetal' and is just a great neutral to dress up or dress down. I've never owned a jacket that wasn't black so this will definitely be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. The only non-awesome aspect of getting this jacket is when hubby found out the price (it was $575). And do you know how he found out? I was modelling the jacket for him (am I the only one who models their clothes for their significant other?) and as usual he inquired about the price. I tried very unsuccessfully to hide it from him until he promptly wrestled me to the ground, took a look at the price tag and then point blank asked me if I had brain damage. I thought his reaction was a bit much but I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to use it for years to come.
