So this is a look that I've been sporting a few times to work. I really love, LOVE this wrap dress. The pattern is a bit bold, and definitely not for the shy. But add some red lips (Nars Cruella lip color, to be exact), and for me it's just another day at the office:
Dress: Mendicino (a few years back) Shoes: Geox Bag: Chanel Ring: YSL |
And as you can see I decided to debut Mademoiselle Caviar Chanel with this outfit. I was really unsure of how this bag would work with my every day wardrobe as I am not one of those people who will buy an investment piece and shove it at the back of my closet. However, I have already taken the bag out many times; with the kids, out to dinner and even (the horror), on the subway. So, what can I say, I'm smitten:
My husband always teases me, that there is no way that the outfits I choose can be that comfortable. But they are. Given my crazy, busy lifestyle, I always choose pieces that fit well and aren't high maintenance or too trendy. In fact, this outfit is so comfy that it's something that I can, say, water the front yard in:
My significant other deems this next shot as inappropriate. I, on the other hand, have no clue what he is talking about:
And, guess what my husband said to me after he saw the photos:
Hey honey, when you're done when can you play with 'my' hose??
Oh Lordie.
Thanks once again for reading :) Have a great and happy Wednsday!

Your dress and Chanel purse compliment each other so well. You should be glad you bought it. It is a timeless bag that you will always love. I heard another price increase is on the way. Gosh I still cant buy a medium flap at its current price!!! Thanks so much Sharon for your thoughtful comments. They mean a lot, they really do. I am so impressed that despite the fact you have two young boys you still manage to be positive and lovely. You rock!!

Hi, again, :) thanks so much for the lovely comment on my last post. I agree, as one gets older, gravity becomes more prevalent, and one cannot do anymore what one used to be able to do, (ask me, I just turned 50) and more grey hair starts showing, but there are many ways to kill the cat. There is color for hair, there is botox, if you are that way inclined, facelifts and boob jobs. My wife is in her early 30's and already here and there a grey hair is rearing its ugly head, so she went blond, that way you do not notice them that easy. Not that I complain, cos she looks super hot in blond. Her dream is a boob job, now I am a leg lover, but I will not complain if she has a boob job, but we do not have the money now to do that. Not now anyway.
And it is not only women that should do something about aging, same goes for men. I am not talking about hair coloring, although a guy can do it if he wishes, but I still play squash, and still give my 33 year old wife a tough game, although she beats me now. I just try to stay younger and a little fitter.
Anyway, I see we have the same point of view, my favorite older celeb is Sophia Loren, she just doesn't seem to age, and she is such an elegant old girl, I just love her.
Hope your weekend is going well, and I like the way your hubby thinks, and I know why he thinks that way, it is the sex appeal oozing from his lovely wife that makes him think that way. Keep that up and you will have his attention until death do your part. :) May that only be in another 100 years.
Take care.
Colin.
You are cracking me up!! Great outfit, and I love your commentary - too funny! Glad to hear you are getting lots of use out of your Chanel bag - something like that is meant to be worn and shown off as often as possible!
